for the last 6 months i have adjusted my valves 3 times trying to solve this ticking under my hood, i eventually gave up on that i idea and learned to deal with it, being told that the GSR injectors are loud...well anyway i recently recieved 2 MILs that indicated fuel injectors and fuel supply system, and becuase my car has 120k miles on it i figured i could use a new fuel filter...well needless to say the old one was clogged to hell and after i put the new one in, absolutely no more ticking at all...the injectors shut up....just writing this out of relief and an idea for anyone with a similar problem

I am a maint. freak, did my fuel filter at 60,000 and will do again soon. JUst be careful with that gasoline, Have a fire extinguisher handy, just in case. Super easy to do a fuel filter

 

hey which filter are you refering to? the 1 in the tank? i have some ticking in my ls on the intake side which most think are my valves. just kicked over 70k on the car & 40k on the motor. changed the filter under the hood last summer.

 

yea im talking about the one under the hood, u adjust yur valves lately?

 

my valves tick too, it started to tick at 8000 miles, now i am at 19000. make sure you get someone that knows what they are doing to readjust your valves. also check your timing, it might be off.

 

bad news, for some retarded ass reason my f'in ticking is back...i cant imagine what makes these injectors tick like that, its not all the time either, its worse some times than other...oh well

hah sounds good to me...im wondering, could this mean the injectors are going bad or is it really just normal for a GSR?
