I have an unusual problem. Occasionally, when someone replies to one of my posts, I get 70-80 (or more hreally::werdr email notices from actually 1 or 2 persons replying to the post. Sumthin' fishy here :wtf:. Can you find out what's going on here, while I go empty my email folder??????? Thanks!

 

This is the first we've heard of this problem.

 

In User CP (top left), go to edit options - scroll down to "Default Thread Subscription Mode" and change it to "Do Not Subscribe".

My sister had the same problem. For some reason, when she started her account not long ago, it wasn't set that way to begin with like when I opened my account. I believe it was set on "instant notification" as default.

I wasn't at the computer when she started the account, but she said she didn't change any of those options herself. She didn't recognize that page when I went in there to fix the problem either.

 

i got the same problem im a nube hear but this dosent happen in any other forums that im active in
i got 50 emails on a reply to my first post and today my email automatically spammed it this time and 20+ went into my inbox and 50+ to spam and they were all the same also my Default Thread Subscription Mode is set to weekly not instant

Changed the subscription from weekly to daily. We'll see if that turns off the faucet :crazyr::jlammy:

 

If you or ibdalovely1 keep having the problem, just change it to "Do Not Subscribe".

 

i got another 60 from this post if i set it as "Do Not Subscribe" will it notify me of responses to posts

 

No, it will not notify you unless you are subscribed.
