The other day I was in Walmart browsing through there magazines when I saw in the Sport Compact mag an article on the Honda Fit!! It talked about the 1.5 DOHC Vtec engine that will be in the car, putting out 105 hp and 107 ft/tq. The gas mileage is said to be around 33 city and 38 highway!!!!
The release date was said to be this spring with the 2007 models!!!

 

Expect the Fit to arrive in mid-April 2006.

I believe the model will sell very well in the USA, mostly because people want a car with very flexible carrying capability but with good fuel mileage. The success of the Scion xA/xB models and the fact the Dodge Caliber has sold better than expected shows that Americans are embracing five-door hatchbacks again, especially now in the age of high fuel prices.
