Damn, I mean I see a point having a 6-speed if you have a H series, but for a B series...I see no point. I mean if you look at it......being in 5th gear on the highway really doesnt get you anywhere unless you down shift...now think about it if you are in 6th....you would just slow down......but If you plan on supercharging , I see a point....but I'd get a supercharger first.

Just my point of veiw.......but anyways Good luck , make your dreams come true bro....Anyone would love to have a 6-speed right guys!!!

No 6-speed B-series trannies, your stuck with 5 and be happy to have them. A 6 speed isn't about speed really, it's about dropping highway rpms. My USDM B18C1 would turn about 4000 rpm at 80-82 mph. That's a lot of rev's to maintain for a long time, even for a Honda.

It's all in the gearing. If you just add another gear after 5th, yeah, of course it will suck. A second, deeper overdrive is pointless in any inline four.

Now, if gears one though four where shortened, fifth was a direct drive, and 6th was the overdrive, that would be a sweet transaxle. You'd be shifting gears every five seconds, but it would still be fun.

Yeah ezactly im saying, about another gear after 5th.

But yeah the comment about shortening the gears and making 6th the 5th gear or JUST a bit longer than stock would be sweeeeeeeet. Hey I'm the guy that loves to shift, o yeah theres nothing better than shifting.

I don't know if the 6-speed would be good on the b series motors. I have had it on my rsx and 350Z and I love it. Really nice on the freeway

just research and see which b series tranny runs at lowest rpms at say 80 in 5th, that's about the best you can do, i think the ls is good for this
