THANX! I'll try that this weekend on my civic since it has a moonrooof. Level ground would be best right? And i would pour in all for corners to correspond with the proper drain? IE: Rear Left would drain through Rear Left fender, etc? Thanx!

I think the drain is still there to handle rainwater. Or maybe your problem is sunroof drains?

I know I don't own an Accord, but I had this very same problem with my Del Sol. I can tell you the fix for the Del Sol. If it works, yay; if it doesn't, well I tried.

In the Del Sol, RIGHT under the glove compartment, there is a plastic piece. Coming out of the piece there is a rubber tube that goes out the firewall. Reach your hand under your glove compartment and dash and feel around for a round rubber tube. Squeeze that tube and examine it for any pinches or cracks. Mine was pinched. I squeezed it and heard this bubling noise of the water draining out, and that was that. I never had a single problem since. Check it out under that dash of yours. It may be similar. I know I don't have an Accord, but you never know.

Unfortunately, I have no clue where this damn pipe is located.. I think I have to get under the engine to find it, and I have no easy way to do that right now.
I can say with almost certainty that it is the drain for your a/c. My wife drives a 03 Odyssey that had the same problem... every so often you'd get a good splash on your feet(driver) some times cold some times not so cold. You could also feel an occassional drip. We took it to the dealership and it turned out to be the drain pipe, it was not inserted into the drain hole and was kind of kinked up causing it to overflow like it was doing.

For this guys problem though I believe it's a/c because he said it was cold. I'd suggest looking into the other drainage problems mentioned here.

Hey..

I thought I'd try what Falkon said he did with his de sol - and try to locate the black tube under the glove compartment.

I found it, and squeezed it a bit. Made a bit of a crunching sound while I did that.. and now the problem's gone.

I'm sure it'll return in time though, until I can get the condensation tube properly cleaned out.

But for now, that's cool. Thanks Falkon and others!

No problem, always willing to lend my bit of support. I'm working on my on going Del Sol project, so I learn bit by bit.

Default I had the same problem with my 94 civic

Hi all,

I had the same problem with my 94' civic. If I run the a/c for some period of time, then made sharp turn (either way), I would get about a cup of water on my feet.

At least on my civic, the drain is a 1/4" diameter tube that you can get to from inside the car. Lift the capet under the passenger side floor well, and look under the glove box-- you will see what looks like a black triangle. At the end of this triangle, there is a black tube that you can just slip off. Make sure you have a bucket handy, becuase if the tube if blocked, you will get liquid comming out when you disconnec the hose. Let the water drain, then take a piece of wire and snake it down the tube. You should see a little puddle under the car if there was water in the tube and you get rid of the blockage. Make sure to connec the hose back up, and you should be good to go.

Email me if you want...
