Default timing problem or fried distributor?

tonite i changed my plugs, wires, rotor, cap when i finished, the car wouldnt start unless i held the gas down, only ran at like 200 rpms - not good

not sure what the problem could be but in order to get to the rotors retaining screw, i cranked the car a few times without the cap on or the wires/plugs. (like a moron)

could that have done some damage? any idea if this is a timing problem or if i did some real damage?

1990 integra ls b18a1. no problems before, just ran rich and was due for a tune up

take it apart and reattach it all check and see if the distributor cap u got is exactly the same as ur old ones, make sure u put the plug wires in the right holes and on the right connectors of the dizzy, and compare the old ignition rotor to the one u just installed to make sure its the same, and crank down that little screw that the rotor in there to make sure it doesnt have too much play, just go over everything u did to the car and eventually u'll find ur problem, and also double check the plug gap, good luck let me know if u fix it

after layin around thinkin about it for a little while i realized that i didnt put the wires into the cap in the 1-3-4-2 rotation that it was supposed to be... simple fix of course, car started right up once i got that right.

yeah, i didnt think that cranking the engine over to get at the rotor screw would be a problem, i had to do that too
