Question: I have an oiltemp gauge, and i have the senderunit in my oil plug(tapped through it) last night it was raining real bad and now my temp gauge is stuck at the highest temp and wont work right! wtf??? its electrical by the way!help!

it goes back to 0 when i turn off the car but when i turn it on it goes all the way over to the higest temp!

 

are you 100% positive that it didn't come loose somehow? (the sensor wire for the guage i mean). i had an a/f guage that, when turned on, always read in the richest possible area untili discovered that the wire was accidentally ripped. now that it's hooked up again, it worked fine. just make sure everything is fine.

 

yah either something got disconnected or the wiring isnt attached correctly somewhere.(anymore connected)
