Default Weird Idle = Vacuum Leak??

heres the scoop... my D16Y7 has been acting funny... when I am driving normally (or harder for that matter), and then let go of the gas in any gear, the engine seems like its giving gas almost like I'm on the gas pedal slightly... before, when I would be in gear, and everything was working fine, when I would let go of the gas, my A/F meter would go out under completely lean (which i heard its supposed to)... but now when I let go of the gas, the A/F is still bouncing around... and when I put it in neutral to stop, it revs for a bit close to 1500-2000rpms, then drops down to 800rpms where it should be...

I've looked around and alot of people that have the same sort of problem are being told to look for a vacuum leak, so I've decided that I'd change all my hoses anyway... so my questions are:

1) which hoses need to be changed/looked at?

2) does the vacuum hose connected from the engine/intake to the brake booster need to be looked at as well (the 1-way hose with the PCV valve in it)? I think i should state that when I'm stopped and its at 800rpm, when i pump the brake, the rpms start going up again...

3) what else other than a vacuum leak could this problem be??

as you can tell, I'm getting really annoyed and frustrated with it and plans for a turbo were going well until this happened (there's no way I'm turboing anything until I get this fixed). Any help at all would be appreciated...

Thanks in advance...

hrm. consider a suggestion, you don't have to follow it, just consider it.

Before you rip out all the vacuum lines, and potentially introduce new problems, try finding the existing problem.

You know what I'm getting at? right now, you have one potential thing to track down, but if you change all of them, you're going to be second-guessing whether you did it properly.

I think the IACV might take a vacuum source.

Idle Air Control Valve, manual might also call it EACV.
