I would say that is a good deal. HG replacements alone are close to $600, if not more.

sounds about right

edit: then again, i got my hg changed for $300 on an eg, but i noticed that most people in these forums get quoted for much more than i do here in NYC. The first shop i went to quoted me around $600, then i went to a shop that specializes in imports/rice, they charged me $300. Thats probably because the guys there could rebuild a b-series with their eyes closed.

That seems like a pretty good deal.

A head gasket replacement on my '92 4Runner 3.0 was quoted at $2200...

I could do it myself, but with work and my son and daughter playing travel baseball and softball i have no time.
I need this car to get me to tournaments.

This guy is a honda specialist and has built the fastest b18c all motor in the usa.
So i know he's good.
He's also a old member of this board but hangs out on another board now!
Said he was cutting me a hell of a deal, ill run with it.

I just did a head gasket for a single cam. I even rebuilt the head with new valve stem seals. Never ever came close to doing that before. The only thing that ef'd me up was getting the timing belt properly lined up. Other than that, it was fun as hell making it all happen. I did it all for about $250 with new oem gaskets, seals, water pump and getting the head re-surfaced.

Ju can dooooeeet holmes. I will admit that I was scared. Bert had to hold my hand via text many a moments :lmao:
