B18C1 redline?

Default B18C1 redline?

hey guys i did a search didnt really find nething, also not sure im in the right forum. well ok i have a B18c1 JDM spec on its way to me and i am going to be buying a pin autometer shift light, im just wondering wat the redline for this engine is. its a 95 with the ODB1. i know the 2000s redline at like 7200 just wasnt sure if the older ones did too or if it makes a difference bc its gunna be a JDM spec engine. i need to know wat RPM pills to buy. thanx for the info in advance

just buy whatever pills u want the light to kick in at, id suggest 6.5 because if u havent already thought about shifting by then its too late and ur gonna hit the limiter. lol but its all personal preference

so you you have a jdm b18c, the rev limit should be more like 8200 rpms. the 2k's rev that high too

the 2000 gsr's redline at 8000, and the jdm b18c is at 8200. Set the light for like 7900 or 8000, your reaction time to shift will make up for the early light.

hey man, yea i plan to get the pill set that starts around 7600 and goes in increments of 200 so i will have that whole general range to be able to test which is the best

i have the apexi tach, and have the warning set at 7900 (blinking light) and the shift light (solid light) set at 8200, ive learned to be pretty predictive on the shifts so i rarely bounce the limiter anymore, all it takes is some practice, and really getting to know your motor

I think my 00 can go a bit passed the marked line of 8100, but not much.

Redline is 8000, fuel cut hits at 8200.
