Anyone tried this cheap engine mod?
Hello there, just wondering if anyone has bought one of these things, or knows what it is.
Supposidly a resistor that does the same as a JET module.
Here's a link to one on eBay:

Lemme know what you think, I want some opinions.
Thanks.

I've got a friend that installed this resistor mod in place of the stock iat sensor and he's noticed a difference in throttle response and power. The only problem is that his gas mileage has gone down considerably. One thing I have to mention though is that he's got other mods too.. like AEM Cold air intake, headers, 2" exhaust piping, a performance muffler, a ported and polished head; no cat or resonator. What this mod does is that it gives a false signal to the ecu making it think the air is colder so it reacts in giving the engine more fuel and also advances the timing. On a completely stock car you may notice better throttle response... but this could be accomplished just as well by advancing the timing. Power increases from this mod will only be possible on an engine that needs more fuel. For a stock car this mod is crap. It makes your stock engine run rich.. robbing you of power. Just advance your timing a little and you'll get the same benefits without the disadvantages. Oh... and if you do... make sure to run premium fuel.
