Default To boost or not to boost....

UPDATE* https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/t...ml#post4889075

Have a chance to pick up a full kit minus injectors and a manifold for $1200.
Has the following..

garrett gt35r dual ball bearing turbo. oil and water cooled.
tial waste gate -38mm
tial blowoff valve -44mm
all custom ic piping. welded and polished
inter-cooler
oil pick up
oil feed and return line
water feed and return line
3 inch down pipe with flex pipe.
3 inch exhaust that dumps right before rear axel
everything is v band clampped
all couplers and clamps
boost gauge.
It's a bit overkill for what I was planning to buy (it's a gt35r), but it will leave me plenty of opportunity to upgrade in the future and not have to worry about getting a new turbo.

Just plan on running 8-12psi now on stock internals. Looking for 270-280 whp.

Show I pull the trigger?

^ This.

Five years ago I would have voted to boost the damn thing last week. Now I'd only do it if money is suuuuper easy to come by for you.

Fuck that. If it's not a daily driver and you're itchin' to turn a wrench, turn it. h: Maybe some of us forgot that working on cars is fun to some of us. I've got no business building a motor right now, but it's something to do.
