cheap swap
ive got a 92 integra ls..with 150,xxx miles on it due to the crashing of my last one...well i was just wondering what would be the cheapest and easiest swap to do...i was looking into the b16a1 swap but have heard its not all that quick in a g2 teg...
its 160 hp so its pretty fast compared to what else is out there, u can spend alot more and get about 20 more hp? ur choice, im not sure about how easy it is to swap into ur car though not my specialyt id say post this in the teg forum.

not the dumbest thing ever... that was the stock engine for Japanese 2g integras. Sure it wouldn't be as fast as b18c, but its cheap and easy. I personälly would save up for the B18c, with an integra, the torque will really come in handy... but either would do the trick. The two should be equally easy to swap, its pretty much the exact same process.

Swapping an Si engine into a Teg for 30 more hp is good but not if you're going to lose about 20 lbs of torque. An Si swap into a Teg is perhaps the dumbest idea ever IMO. Keep that shit in a Civic. Get a GSR swap and you'll be owning Si's all day long.

For the $, I would drop in a B20B or B20Z CRV longblock. You can reuse your tranny, ECU, distributor and engine harness. That would be a cost effective swap that would add some more low-end grunt and not to mention a newer, fresh motor. If you could track down a 92-93 YS1 GSR cable tranny, you would have an even more potent setup with room for a lot more potential.
