help!! limp mode??

Default help!! limp mode??

i had a question. if i get any check engine light, would that put me in limp mode no matter what the code is?? i have the check engine light because of a o2 heated sensor. but will that cause me to be on limp mode??? i have a turbo 00 civic si .

well i got the scanner to get the code and the only thing that came up was that o2 sensor code. will that code put me in limp mode????will any check engine light put me in limp mode??

Well, he could pull CEL codes every once in a while to see if any new ones show up.

Usually the oxygen sensor won't cause the ECU to go into a limp mode if it goes bad, it will just no longer take readings from the oxygen sensor into account when deciding how much fuel to put into the motor.

What is the rest of your setup like? It would help to know what sort of ECU and fuel system you're running.

i have the stock 00 civic si ecu, i have a msd fule pump and a vortech 12:1 fuel regulator , stock injectors.

oh yeah...any 02 sensor will put it in safe mode....you should see a huge decrease in gas miliage

yes i drive a toyota...im a honda tuner though....im the mechanic that fixes sexygreencivic's car...(im her husband) and yeah...there is a few trd japan parts under my hood
