Default Vtec RPM

Is 5700 RPM too high for the vtec to kick in on a stock b16a2?

hmmm im not sure, but i know that civic si' engines lack low end torque, so it might be a good idea to set it a little lower RPM

no it's not too high and i wouldn't set it any lower than 5k. if you do your engine might bog when vtec engages because it will be sucking in more air than it can handle at lower rpms. you can set it low if you have some sort of forced induction. but anyway why not 5500 rpm's like factory?
