I have an 05 Acura EL which is a Canadian model, but is essentially a Civic with an A on it. It has a 1.7L D17A2 SOHC and I was interested in replacing the camshaft when I do the timing belt soon. I was thinking of putting in a Crower Stage 1 cam, nothing super big, just enough to give me a little extra. This is my daily driver and I am in an area where I have to do e-testing so I don't want anything that lopes at idle.

Has anyone done one of these or anything similar, and can anyone tell me if I should be advancing the cam with a degree wheel and if so by how much?

If anyone has done one of these and has feedback that would be cool too.

Also, if someone out there wants to sell me a stage 1 camshaft (perhaps you upgraded to something bigger) I am interested in making an offer...
