Default TODA spec B cams - what valvetrain can or should I use?

I have TODA Bs. Currently, I have ITR valvesprings (intake and exhaust).

I have been told that I can replace the inners with Portflow inner valvesprings and I will be okay. The person who told me said that Tom advised him that it would be okay to run the stiffer inner springs on TODA Bs up to 9.5K. I do not know this person personally, he was trying to sell me his valvetrain setup...

I have also been told that I should use ONLY TODA valvesprings.

As you can tell I need advice. I plan to rev my motor to 9k rpm (I believe that is what TODAs make power to, maybe a little more).

BTW, I have a b17a that I am going to install CTR pistons in that this TODA setup would go with.

I would love to drop $360 on valvetrain at TODA, but if there is a cheaper (and as safe) alternative, I may take that route.

I want to know what you suggest or what you know. If you have TODA cams (Bs speicifically) what are you using for valve train?

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

Dan over at Godspeed sells his toda kits with portflow springs (inners and outers though). So I'd be pretty confident in their ability to handle the todas. Portflow makes pretty quality stuff.

but their titanium retainers have been known to be weaker than others and wear more quickly

I heard that about the skunks cuz they got a notch on the bottom side to make them lighter. I haven't heard anything bad about the portflows. But either way you look at it Ti > Steel. Much more rigid/stronger so i'm sure it'll hold up to the abuse.
