Default Tile waste gate?

Has anyone heard of a Tile waste gate (36MM, 6lbs spring)?

A friend of mine got a hooked up and she isn't sure if it's a good price. I don't really know about this so I am trying to see if I can get any help from you guys. =)

Any comment will be apprecaited. If you can find a site, please link me!

Thanks!

TiAL doesn't make a 36mm wastegate. There's the older 35mm gate, and thne ther's the 38mm one that replaces it. In the past, the 35mm gate was available in a "HP" version that replaced its top section with one of their 40mm tops. This hybrid gate was pretty popular for mid-high boost levels. In a move to simplify their lineup, TiAL discontinued the 35mm and hybrid 35/40mm HP gates, and replaced them with a 38mm gate. TiAL wastegates are very good, in general. The build quality is excellent, and they work very well. The only point of contention I can think of is that the flange gaskets that are included from the factoryjust plain suck. They're made of some kind of fiber material and blow out after a day or two. If you get a TiAL, you're better off running without a gasket(assuming your wastegate flange is flat and true), or you can run a Deltagate fire-ring style gasket.

This is the old TiAL 35mm(which I have )

This is the HP one:

This is the one that replaces both of the ones above:

TiAL also makes 40 and 46mm gates for high boost/high hp applications. Their website is http://tialsport.com
You can get TiAL products from any number of merchants, including importparts.com, which is where I got my 35mm.

This is the firering gasket, available from http://www.roadraceengineering.com/f...andgaskets.htm or http://checkout.verisign.com/cgi-bin...9708-2D2182864
