Default 92 teg RS engine(B18A1) swap

What possible engines can I swap my stock one for. I really want to put a prelude(h22, I think) in it. I've heard that you can pretty much swap any Honda/Acura engine with any Honda/Acura engine. True? False?

A 1st gen B16A will go in pretty easily, as will a B17A. I would hate to see what you'd have to do to fit an H22 in there, since your engine bay is pretty cramped as it is. For simplicity's sake, you might want to stick to OBD-0, but you should be able to get any B series swap to work.

no you're mistaken. a 92 is obd-1, so he could get any b16a gen, a b17a would be a straight swap, the 94-95 b18c1 (which is also obd-1) will work perfectly, as well as any other b18c1. If you do buy an obd-2 engine, all you have to do is buy an obd-2/obd-1 converter for about $150.

An h22a is NOT a good idea. Not too many have done this, as you will have to custom make motor mounts for it, since no company makes a ready made motor mount kit for the G2 tegs (with regard to the h22a).

oh i just found this...

http://www.g2ic.com/tegtips/engine/15.html

click on "Engine Swap Guide" and then save it to your hard drive.

It'll let you know about all different kinds of swaps for both 90-91 (non-obd) and 92-93 (obd-1).
