Default 92 Acura RS to GS Swap

I own a 1992 Acura Integra RS Hatchback and I wanna put an engine from a 1992 Acura Integra GS 4 door. What would I need to do this other then the engine (DUH!!)... Or can I just drop the new on in as is?????

They're the same exact engine.

Thanks. I seen on a few sites that that 92 RS had a B18A and a 92 GS had a B18B.

Lies!

B18b is just a later model of the B18A, not an optional version.

figures that would be the case. At least I know it will be a clean swap. I am putting the new/used engine in cuz it runs alot better then the one I have now and then I am going to rip up and rebuild the old one with high performance and make it a new one

Just look at the new block, if it says B18B on it, then that's what it is. The only difference is that one is newer. The B18B has a hydro tranny, and the B18A has a cable one. If you have a B18A right now, you'll need to retain your tranny and use it with the B18B.

What dose "retain your tranny" mean? And what is the differance between a cable tranny and a hydro tranny?

When you say runs a lot better what do you mean? Try a tune up.

A tune up wont help the engine I have. When it starts it rumbles and has a light knock. The new one/used one runs very quiet and smooth.

If the swap engine uses a different tranny type from the engine in the car, keep the original tranny and mate it to the new engine. A cable tranny really refers to the clutch type - where the clutch engagement is controlled by a cable, rather than hydraulic pressure from a clutch master cylinder.
