Default How do you measure the size of the collector on a header?

I've tried a search and couldn't find an answer to my question. When measuring the size of the collector on a header, do you measure the outer diameter or inner diameter?

The measurement is typically the size of the pipe, which is measured by OD, unless specifically specifying the ID.

It's pi times the length of the runner off cylinder number 3, divided by 2.

LMAO How thick is your pipe there homeboy? u got 1/2" thick steel header or what? It shouldn't be thick enough to where when u measure a 2.25" pipe ID it's not gonna be 3.25" OD.

This "homeboy" got his hands onto an almost new DC 4-1 header for next to nothing. It's ID is only 2" and it's OD is 2.25"
