Default a/c install

How hard would it be to install an a/c system from a wrecked Civic into my DX with out it?

Also how much weight would the whole system add to the car?

It won't be hard at all. The holes and ports are all pre-drilled in the firewall. You'll want to remove the dashboard from the car so you have plenty of room to work, though. That's a bit of a pain. You'll need the wiring diagram so make sure you wire up the A/C switch and compressor coil correctly, But the rest of it is simply installing all the pieces where they go, and then you charge it up.

As far as finding the parts, it shouldn't be difficult. People (like me) remove their A/C all the time when it loses its charge simply cuz it reduces weight. Look at www.thepartstrader.com, or check local parts yards, or just ask around.
