questions about emissions testing.
i was wondering if i swap an LS into a 93cx would there be any problems at emissions? i dont even know what the hell emissions is, this is about to be my first car. If they open the hood and see that it's an LS motor instead of the cx motor will they get me in trouble for it?
In Cali, the engine has to be newer than the car. So in your case, as long as it's a 93+ engine, you should be fine. You also have to use the emissions equipment from the new engine. Other states are more lenient.

just got to pass visual and then the 15mph and 25mph test atleast for here in cali and then have timing where it needs to be, all the right hoses(with a specific rating for fluids), and the right cat and 02 sensors for the year 92-95(obd1) and 96-00(obd2) and also have the right ecu not a chipp'd p28 and last all the right evap equipment
