Default Which header?

Ok, a LONG time ago I was told that I should get an Si header for my '95 Civic B18C1 swap... well, since then I've been told that the Si header isn't tall enough to wrap from the head around the oil pan cause the B18 is taller than the B16.

Sadly, I purchased the Si header when I heard that that's what I needed and just today I finally got my head on my block and sure enough it's too DANG short!

Last I heard I need the LS header.. is that right?

Thx!

i know the ls manifold works perfect for height, and in a 4dr civic at least it is the perfect length.

Cool. I think I can get an LS header without having to spend anymore money. Hope it works.

Why wouldn't you get a GSR header and have the exhuast modified to fit it?

Because the GSR has a longer cat than the civic. Thus the GSR header is shorter to make room for the long cat. The LS has a short cat like the civic so I don't have to modify my exhaust pipe to compensate for a short header. The LS header should bolt right up to the head as well as the short cat.

That's why.

Solution: Custom 2.5" exhaust, along with DC JDM 4-1 header.

I already have custom 2.5" piping, but what's the cost on the JDM header? I only paid $280 for my DC Si 4-1 CC header and I've never mounted it. It's still in the packaging. I'm hoping to be able to trade it for a new LS header. This swap is killing my wallet...

I paid $460 shipped on a new GSR SS JDM 4-1. It was only about $10 more than non-JDM.

You could also add piping to the exhaust. I would just rather use a header designed for the motor.
