so i asked a mechanic about machining my GSR block and he mentioned something about how the crank bearings are a beeytch because it's a honda motor..
what does he mean by this???
i am in the process of rebuilding my block, so i need to find out any info about replacing bearings, seals, pumps, etc..anything helps..thanks!!

Honda bearings come in a slew of sizes(denoted by color), so you have check the clearances with the existing bearings, and then either step up or step down on the bearing chart, depending on whether you want more or less oil clearance. Maybe that's what he's talking about.
I don't see how they're a biatch. You just match up the number on the rod to a number or letter on the crank and go to the chart. Then like inspyral said, step up or down a color depending on wear or preferred clearances. They're not anything really that different than regular bearings, except that it'll set you back 120 bucks for the crank and 80 for the rods compared to 80 bucks for both if you go with unmatched generics.
