with money anything is possible, but you must decide whether it worth it's or not. this project will take some serious coin and will not be very easy. i'd sell the car and invest in something else.

Its called custom for a reason and the only reason I posted about it was to get a view of some of the possible technical issues I may run into.

The problem I am running in to right now is procuring the parts. The problem is not availability, rather the willingness of my wife to let me have enough money to convince the current owners of the parts that they should give them to me... I'm afraid that it will be a long road, but I will submit any details that I can.

the throttle in the newer cars does not have a cable. it is drive by wire... that means you gona have to swap over the throttle pedal, the sensor and run a bunch of wires..... a waste of time imo.... then you'd have to figger out how to make the coil-on-plug stuff work cause the newer engines dont have a dist.
on 2nd thought you'd deff have to go with a standalone

The DLI & coil packs are controlled by the ECU. I just looked in the FACTORY manual for the 2001-2 CL & Type S, and it shows the throttle being controlled by a cable run directly to the throttle body from the accelerator pedal. No drive by wire here guys...
