b series oil pressure.
on my d16 engine.. i removed the stock oil pressure sending unit and put in the line for my mechanical oil pressure guage. I just left the wire hanging and i never threw codes or the light never came on
when i get my b16.. do i need to keep the stock sending unit so the computer knows there is pressure for vtec or is there a separate one for that?
also.. if i do need to keep the stock one.. can i just wire it to ground.. or 12V+ to trick it into thinking it's at correct pressure
i really don't care about the light still working.. i'd rather have my mechanical guage.. i always pay lots of attention to that guage.

I was wondering if the VTEC oil sensor and the low oil light sensors were the same.. but they are not
I have a mechanical oil pressure guage. and that's where i ran my line on my old engine.
On the new engine you can just unplug the old one. remove it and install your mechanical pressure line. or install the aftermarket sending unit.
Removing this sending unit. left of the oil filter (b series) or above the oil filter (d series) will not affect VTEC.
