Default Oil Pressure Gauge

I'm installing an Electric autometer oil pressure gauge in my 97 GSR and I'm going to run a steel braided hose from the block to a T which I'm going to mount onto the firewall. On the T I'm going to connect the oil pressure sending unit as well as the stock oil pressure switch. My questioin is does the Stock oil pressure switch just screw out of the block and can I screw it into the "T-fitting" just like that? Is there any re-wiring involved with moving the stock oil pressure switch???

NO absolutely not. You have the right idea.. just be sure the fittings are the correct size. Worst case scenario is you may have to extend the stock oil pressure sending unit wire a little bit farther but most likely not.

Besides the stock oil pressure sending unit wire being extended, is there any hoses or anything else that need to be connected??

No.. just run the steel hose from the block to your T fitting on the firewall and you are good to go. Be sure to use teflon tape or some other thread sealer. Oil leaks are no fun

I just decided to go without the "functionality" of my stock idiot light. I figure the warning function on my GReddy gauge is good enough to grab my attention if oil pressure drops too low.
