renting 4 of those would probably cost more than renting a cherry picker. I'd say go with the tried and true method.

you get 2 jacks, put one on each side of the car near the middle on the 2 rails that are close to the center of the car. i have done 3 cars this way..... its not hard to do.. if i have a cherry picker i attach that to the tow hooks and jack the front of the car up with that. slide the motor under, put it on jackstands and lift the motor up from the bottom w/the lift.....

hell we put the motor back in my friends 00si in her apt parkin lot w/o a lift

A lift would be the easiest and safest thing but most people don't have access to a lift.

Sucks to be most people! I got a 6 ton chery picker, a walk in grease pit and a motor stand. I can build anything I like in my back yard! I could own a 2001 911 RUFF a Supra TT and a ferarie F1 for the money I have put into tools. Got tools coming out my ass and hardly no car parts

so what, working on cars is almost as fun as driving them... Just be sure to share with your neighbors. I would be truly astonished if you could own all three of those cars for what youve spent on tools tho.... thasalatamoney.

We do that all the time. We've done a couple of Accord H22A swaps, Integra and a bunch of civic swaps that way.....and....you don't have to take off the tranny like when we use to use a cherry picker. However, we take out the front cross member also. Its a lot easier than you think once you see it done and takes minutes. Just watch out because we have a lot of close calls on crushed knuckles.
