No, I don't live in Japan. If I lived in Japan I could make a bazillion dollars shipping parts..

I've seen a few '92 models here in town over the years. I know I'd have to wait a long time... really I just mentioned that car as comparison. I don't really know much about them yet.

How do you like your RX?

Hell yeah you would!

I love it, except it has a "bazillion" problems that I have been ironing out since I bought it. Typical stuff like one-speed-wipers and non-functional rear wiper (fixed), non-functional sunroof, stuck 6-ports (-30 peak hp, no sh*t, I have a 96hp@4500RPM dyno chart to prove it), non-funtional passenger power window (fixed), etc, etc. The FC RX-7 is a mechanic's car, but it's worth it every time you rev that sweet sounding Rotary engine.

I still have my Civic for an 86-87 Integra swap/turbo project, and I'll need another car to drive when I finally blow and Apex seal:exnbp: It's good to always have a Honda... when a Honda dies, it's usually "user error", unlike Rotarys.

Yeah user error is right. I lost my f22a4 because I neglected a slight oil leak until the point that she seized up. My bad...

:stupid:

Anyway, you're doing a b18c swap into an old civic, eh? Or the earlier integra engine?

Actually, I was planning on an 86-87 Integra's D16A1, basically the US market version of the DOHC ZC, or an actual browntop ZC, both bolt into the old style pre-88 D-series mounts. From there, I don't know what I am doing.

how about sell it to get ur integra back. No reall i remember when he first bought that civic. Its come a long way. I would love to have an H22 i dont see why people are against it. Most of the time they are cheaper than a B18C and u get more power out of them.

HatchCX - if you get an h22a for your hatch, won't your car be a bit front heavy? I'm not sure, but I thought that h22a powered hatches had a really skewed weight distribution like 70/30 or something. Might make it harder to be nimble. :dunno:

Kai: I'm not as familiar with D or B series engines.. what does the d16a1 put out? How much does your car weigh? How far along on the project are you?

I'm slowly but surely making headway on my '91 accord. The engine is getting put in right now, the brake parts that I've ordered are on their way and everything's going smoothly, but I don't know which suspension products I ought to get..

Yeah it does make it heavier. You have to upgrade the front suspension with prelude ones i think. But if u do that it shouldn't be that bad.

The US D16A1 is rated at 112-116hp I believe, while the browntop ZC is around 135. The D16A1 will take all ZC parts and modifications. The car itself weighs in somewhere around 1800-1900 lbs. About the only thing I have done is start cleaning the engine bay and removing unnessicaries... whenever I have money, it usually flies off to other places then my Civic.

HatchCX: You're gonna have a damn fast car, bro. I'll bet that with the usual I/H/E you'll be maybe at a 1/4 mi @ 14 seconds?

Kai: I hear you. I'm trying to put as much of my paycheque as I can towards my car but before I do, most of it disapears on whatever... it's frustrating.
