Default High flow or just a pipe???

hey guys i need a question to be answered like asap please! my cat is acting weird, it bogs like hell whenever i'm sitting in my car for about 3 mins at 800-1200 rpm..whenever i try to go its like it won't untill i push in the clutch and rev it high 4000rpm +! and i was wondering if i had a muffler shop make a "test pipe" or a cat with the bolts all lined up right but instead of the CAT CONVERTER i would just have a pipe instead, and i was wondering if that would make it better, and if so, how much louder? 1 more question.......................................... .................................................. .......................................i have a full cat back R&D thermal exhaust and i was wondering if i had the muffler shop make me an axle back pipe and buy a tunabe or 5ziggen or something to make it softer if i got that "test pipe" would it be NOT so loud? or can anyone tell me what muffler brand would NOT make my set up so loud? thanks guys!!!

What makes you think that a messed up cat is the cause of your problems?

Lets see, the cat converter is gutted and when i press on accelerator it has an exhaust leak, and yes i can hear it coming from the heat shield, and like i said if i let the exhaust build up from sitting in 1 spot for more than 2 mins, when i try to leave it sounds like no exhaust is getting through and it sounds like that right under my feet so that is the cat converter again.. lets see.. before when it didn't have a leak (wasn't as loud) it never never did this..... anything else you would like to know?

put a NON screwed cat in there.
and i doubt you will get an exhaust shop to put a test pipe in since that can lead to them receiving a $10,000 fine for it.

i'm running the thermal r&d with a powercore race cat (basically a test pipe). the cat gave better throttle response and it made the exhaust louder, especially when vtec kicks in. i paid $150 for mine including shipping and it even came with the bung for an o2. of course i got cel 67 so i had to put in a o2sim. but the pipe is polished stainless and comes with gasket and hardware.
