Default poss. n00b question - exhaust gaskets

:wassup board:

i had to dismount my whole cat-back system due to some bullsh*t..but now i have a DC 4-1 header to install as well as putting my Tanabe RM cat-back system back on.

Can i use OEM gaskets for the exhaust manifold & in between the piping segments of the cat-back? or would i have to search for universal gaskets from various exhaust shops?

if ya got links, that'd be allright too

thanks

You use an OEM donut gasket for the header/cat connection. You use universal 2 or 3 bolt(depending on the flanges on your exhaust) universal style gaskets for the piping. The OEM piping uses a donut style gasket similar to the header/cat gasket to seal the midpipe to the muffler section. That style gasket wouldn't work with your new midpipe since i t uses flat flanges.
