Default Swap question for a 97 Civic

I have a 97 Civic Ex with a D16Y8 in it that is bad. I am looking to put the head from this engine on a D15B7 due to $$$ issues. In order to do this someone told me I am going to run into problems due to the good motor being from an OBD vehicle and the exsisting engine from an OBD 2 vehicle. What do I have to do get the good motor to work in my vehicle???

you can use the D15B7 block with the D16Y8 head - you need to remove the oil restrictor jet from the top of the block, at the intake side between #2 and #3 cylinders - you need to use (9) of the D15B7 head bolts and (1) D16Y8 head bolt (at the intake side, at the distributor end) - you need to use the D15B7 camshaft timing gear - you need a timing belt for a D16Z6 - you need head gasket for D16Y8 - your compression ratio will end up at about 10.65:1
