Default b16 vs. b18

I'm new here with a 93 dx hatch that needs a new motor...so I'm considering which options are better for my cheap-ass budget. ($2,000 and less)

On the net I've seen a debate on which is better and why. People have said that the b16 is better, then some say that the b18 is better...so here are my questions:

What are the specs on each? (stroke, torque, hp, etc, etc)

Which would be better n/a? boosted?

Which is the more simple swap? As in...which requires less stress and broken knuckles (haha)

Anything would help on this.

Again I have a short budget. But then I don't want a full blown race-motor or anything, just something that has loads of potential for when I start making more.

I've also heard that the b20 (crv) motor is qorth the work, too. . .so any info on that would be good, too.

Since you're talking less than 2 grand. Go witn the B18B LS. The B16A is nice & won't be that expensive if you do it. You want to search B16 swap.

Hey Just Some thoughts on your question, I was in the same situation as far as cash flo. I had 2000 to spend and wanted at least a B-series I found that looking around town for a used GSR or LS integra can pay off I got a complete swap and a whole bunch of parts to sell when I bought the GSR as a whole with 68,000 miles so made back almost half of what I payed for engine swap...........
