Default Which cams are which, Type R/GSR?

How can you tell the difference between ITR camshafts and GSR camshafts. I just bought some used ones from a guy and the claimed ITR's cam lobes look the exact same as the GSR's. Are there any sure ways of confirming that these are the real deal?

Measure the lift. I belive the ITR cams have a higher lift and a different duration.

I measured the lobes and they appear to be the same size as the GSR ones. Also, the cam gears on the shafts say PR3, which is the code for a b16, but I'm not sure if he was just using those for the old ITR. Are the b16 and GSR cams similar?

How did you measure them? Did you use a dial caliper?

Dial caliper? No, didn't use one of those. How exactly am I supposed to measure them.

You're going to need a dial vernier caliper or a micrometer to measure the difference, we're talking about thousandths of an inch here.

Wow, I thought that I would be able to tell the difference just by eyeballing the lobes. Crazy how a few 1/1000 of an inch can give you a few more hp.

Haha, I've been building engines enough that I *might* be able to eyeball a cam and tell you which is larger, but normally that would be because I've mic'd or profiled them beforehand

If they measure the same, they could be b16 cams. GSRs have a few more degrees of duration than b16s, but the same lift.

Turns out they are ITR's, I borrowed a micrometer from my neighbor and got the specs from a guy in the integra forum, thanks for the input guys.
