Default CEL code 6

CEL code on Del Sol is a 6 (coolant temperature) anybody have any ideas on what the hell that can mean?

Did you check to see if the sensor was connected? Is its wiring in good conditon?

where would the connection be at ? In a relative location.

It's on the distributer side of the head, near the water neck. There's a sensor threaded in with a round plug, that's the ECT sensor. There's also a smaller sensor next to it with a smaller plug that kind of looks like a mini-headphone jack, that's the sender for the temp gauge on the dash. I'm not sure which of these that code refers to, so check them both.

i found what u were talking about and the smaller sensor doesn't have anything plugged into it so i'm guessing that that is it but how do i fix that

If it's disconnected, then look for the plug and reconnect it. Although if it really is disconnected, then your temp guage wouldn't function.
