Does it look like fine dust? I think that may be normal.

I had that in my distributor a couple of times. Never really figured out why. I'd try getting a new cap and rotor from Honda, or just clean it out and see if it comes back.

I never saw that, but I'd start by taking it all apart & looking for something rubbing that isn't supposed to. If you don't find anything then check the distributor shaft bearing lubrication. Something that rubs is gonna make fine steel dust, which soon turns to rust...

Obviously if you've never taken a distributor apart, draw lots of pictures to make sure you can get everything back the same way...

i got that when i had this odd hesitation with the rex. just replace the cap, and that should do the trick. If you're getting lag when not in full throttle, the dist is the awnser to your problem.
