Default Jdm D15b????????

I'm wanting to get one of these for my 92 CX but I was wondering if for some reason the motor does not come with the ECU does anyone know of any other ECU that could be used to control the 3 stage vtec? Also does anyone know the pin out to run the vtec wires into the ECU? Also what parts do you buy for with this motor would it be for the 1.5 or the 1.6 being as the motor is really a US spec 1.6 EX or SI motor?

Thanks

the ex and si motors are the same 92-95, and you should be able to use a p28 ecu.

Hey Bakeoff whatever happen to the gauge cluster that you were going to sale me?

Also i don't think that ECU works because that motor is a 3stage vtec.

just get teh ecu with the engine. dont mess around trying to use a diff one cause then you will lose what makes it such a great little engine.

why do you want to get it though? D15 vtec is a cool little engine, but thats about it. its not going to go anywhere. youd be better off buying a D16Z6

There are about five different D15B's also, ranging from 70hp to 130hp,a couple are carburated as well.Just a warning that you need to research that motor before buying.I agree that a D16Z6 would be easier and alot better, but I would suggest a B series.More to play with a great in a light chassis like the cx.

The only reason i was looking into this is because it is a little different and would have been fun to tell people its just a little 1.5 liter motor. As of now i'm thinking either a D16 or a B18b just a little car to sit next to my other hybrid.

well i have the jdm d15b and i can tell you you will take all z6's and plus only the ond2 are 3stage vtec not teh obd1 an dthe ecu thing you can su eteh p28 but you will have to change some stuff like teh o2 jdm is 1 wire and teh us is 4 wire and also the inatke manifold has diffrent stuff too. the d15b is a vx bottom end with z6 pistions and head but has a wilder cam.

Here's where the lines blurs for me.Yes they have the same bottom end, same displacment,r/s,everything,both are vtec,so why is it that the D15B makes 130hp and the D15Z1 makes 92hp?Where the hell does the extra 38hp come from?00.03:1 point difference in compression? No way. There is more to it than that.Where is it?
