finding out if engine is original

how can you tell if you have the original engine in your car?

do the vin on the car and engine match up?

If your VIN is on the engine block, then you can match that up to the VIN on the car. If the VIN is on the tranny, then the engine itself could have been swapped out, retaining the tranny and original VIN.
