I took my Bypass valve off my AEM CAI. I thought it was pulling air in and also...those bypass SPLIT in half. This has happened to me 2 times so i went to auto parts stuff bought a 5" piece of 2 1/2" tubing and used the screw ties from the bypass valve.

If you use the bypass valve now check to see how much air can be pulled threw. Get a piece of paper...something big...start your car and how someone rev it to the 3-4 range. Hold the paper close to the bypass and see if it sucks the paper to the valve. BE very careful not to let the paper get in some how. Make sure the foam covering is on. since my bypass valve is split down the center, the paper would suck right up to the valve. This is the 2nd time it happened. So im going to try AEM once again.
