Default lightweight CRANK pulley???

Im running a b17a with stage3 clutch and lightweight flywheel in my 97 Hatch... wondering if anybody here with similiar stuff has tried using a light weight crank pulley and if so, did it make any difference? They are claiming like 5 hp.. What do yall think?

no matter what kind of engine it is, it's pretty unlikely that you'll get a whole 5 horsepower just by putting on a lighter crank pulley. That's the same type of myth as the DC Sports tube headers giving 10 horsepower.

You'll notice a gain, but prolly not 5hp. Another thing you wanna check up on is that the pulley is very well balanced, cuz I'm pretty sure that you'll lose your harmonic damper when you swap pulleys.

well this is my opinion, but I always heard when it came to the crank pulleys there was more risk than reward. I have heard of people throwing off their rotation assembly, breaking belts, and a few other bad things just to gain a very very small amount of power.

You can run the OEM Honda N1 pulley if you don't have A/C or P/S...

Haha... what is the N1 pulley? Where do you get that? I dont wanna get the light crank pulley if its going to cause any problems.. I would think that they would balance those things to avoid any problems but who knows..

The N1 pulley is an OEM pulley w/ balancer, just no PS or AC. I have one. Pretty nice.
