lsvtec question

Default lsvtec question

i have b18a1 block mated to b16 sir2 head. previously ran was a safc II controller...it doesnt have a knock sensor...do i need one? will the p28 ecu plug and play with working vtec? engine going into 94 ls i know wiring is involved..no prob

i have searched everywhere and cannot get a straight answer...supposed ly since this setup is obd 1 i was told i can run a p28 ecu and it will run perfect...and i searched ebay and found a p28 thats chipped for ls-vtec. how do i know that this will work? someone give me some base info to start from so i know what im looking at?

i think i found an answer... www.phearable.net has a section where i can custom input my engines specs and they can program a rom chip to run my setup. anyone have any info on these guys?

ok u got the chiped p28 thats good put u need to a tuning shop to have ur engin tuned cause every ls vtec engin is different ,no u dont need a knock sincer but u need to get it tuned right also did u block the vtec oil retarne an the dowlpins an oil line

ok my lsvtec is a 98 type r head an skunk2 valve springs an retaners an im runing a chiped p28 ecu thats tuned my car runs high 12s all motor

With stock ITR cams and on a stock LS block?
Get real.

Post a pic of your sub 13-second timeslip with 95 cents or it never happened.

doesnt really prove anything. he can get a timeslip from anyone.

is that time even possible in a completely stripped crx? given more info on engine like high comp pistons...shaved head even?

its the internet, anything is possible. :rockon:
