Why am I still slow?

Okay... I reset timing to 2 degree advance... And there's no detonation. I suppose 93 octane is good enough! haha
Compression numbers were fine... 230-236 all the way around with cylinder 4 down to 218 because of a leaky valve seal.
if memory serves me right, anyways.
cam timing is stock, b16a1 cams may need to be swapped out for something beefier like ctr's or skunk stage 2's or whatever will work with itr vavlesprings/retainers.
Plugs are a color I would call "textbook maroon" ;-) haha they look great.

get some cam gears and maybe a piggy back computer(vafc) or if you got the cash, standalone. either way I think you are going to have to hit the dyno for best results obviously.
Are you exagerating at all about how slow it is or are you really that slow? I am building a similar setup but not finished yet. I am going with the ys1 tranny though. your making me nervous!!lol

Yes... at 4800 rpms it goes "BAAAAAAHHHH!" hahaha.
That and I have had problems when VTEC didn't engage too so I know that it's working.
No I'm not exaggerating I can barely beat a stock 240sx by like maybe 2 cars. I have a YS1 tranny also... just not a short-geared one.
I can still beat like focus zx3's and **** hell I was behind a race between a modified eclipse RS and a focus zx3 with I/H/E and blew them both off the road... I used the shoulder. lol but it's still not as fast as I think it should be... Those cars aren't very quick. lol.

also... wanna see something funny? We're painting my car blue... Whoever painted it orange had like 1 coat of orange, the original red, and then in between there was white, then blue, then black, then orange... so the aircraft stripper didn't do anything for the paint so we had to chisel the paint off... here are some pics. lol
