Jdm B16a, Usdm B16a??????????
I'm about to buy a B16A engine and I would prefer it to be a JDM B16A with hydro tranny and lsd. Problem is, I don't want to be ripped off buying a USDM engine. Is there any way to tell apart a USDM one and JDM one. I heard about some things but they don't make quite any sense. If you have any info on B16As that would be really cool.
I also have another question, is it possible to put the B16A with a hydro trannny and lsd in a 4th gen hatch Si, because HAsport only sells mounts for the B16A with cable tranny.

it has been done. not sure on what mounts or pedal set you would use. usdm vs jdm, none really. only way yo tell block apart is the fact that a jdm will just list b16a and a usdm will list b16a2 for a obd2 motor or b16a3 for obd1 motor.

usdm should have a # stamped on the after the "B16A", like "B16A2" (usdm 99+ civic si) or "B16A3" (usdm delsol vtec). im pretty sure there isnt a hydro -> cable conversion kit. you best bet is an aftermarket lsd in a stock b16 cable tranny. there mite be a cable tranny with a factory lsd, but im not tooo sure
