i'm just a know nothing mess tryin to get info here on how to get my car to be a low 14 machine with minimal money spending due to me being a student and all...but anyway...anyone know what it is that i need to change my 2000 gsr into an obd1 ecu?...not to mention where i can find it for cheep! and when i mean cheep i mean cheep lol:naughty:

You need an OBD-IIb>OBD-I adapter harness and an OBD-I P72 ECM. They can be had for around $150 a piece.

Converting your computer won't make you go any faster unless you get some kind of way to reprogram it. A generic chip will only make your car feel a bit quicker because of better throttle response.

Start off with a cold-air intake, a header and an exaust. With good technique you should hit high 14's assuming you don't still have the crappy stock tires. From there, you have a number of different options you might take.
