Default Heater core question!

hey guys, in an earlier post i described how ive had a lot of coolant leaking on my floor. Im wondering ...is the ONLY way i could get coolant leaking in the car from the heater core?? Its the only thing that makes sense. How much does a new core (or used one) cost? Im gonna get my interior done soon so ill probably just wait and do it then... thanx

If it was just plain water, I would say that it wouldn't be the only way to soak your carpet, but coolant, yes, heater core is the culprit.

would a faulty/going bad heater core be the reason why my car takes forever for the heat to get warm?

If the engine(and therefore the coolant) isn't warmed up, the air coming from your heater isn't going to be warm.
