HELP!!!!. a ZC sohc V TECH 1600 cc engine was put into a 2003 Honda civic sedan to replace a hybrid 1300 cc engine. The ZC engine surges or revs up and down, the digital clocks do not work as a matter of fact the entire digital dashboard does not work at all, other than lights up and the EPS is not working, i don't have the money to buy another engine. anybody HELP HELP, how can i fix this strange swap.

 

just because your using a different motor you shouldn't be having issues with the dash i would check your fuses. Motor wise, it could be your harness no reading any of the new sensor. although if its surging it may be idle air control valve, the fast idle temp valve, or a vacuum leak.
