Give me some head ... info
Ok, go ahead and run off all the upgrades you can do to a head and WHY they help...
IE, whats the purpose of retainers, new springs, why a 5 angle valve job is better than 3....
Just run off whatever you want.

New valve springs are generally stiffer to help prevent valve float with cams that generate more lift.
Titanium retainers are lighter than stock to help the motor rev up a bit quicker, and are stronger to cope with the stiffer valve springs.
5 angles instead of 3 when doing a valve job produces more finely curved seats.
Is there any overall goal you'd like to produce?

Also, qtiger's right, a 5 angle valve job usually causes more chance of wiping the valve seat, or cracking a valve near the edge since the number of angles cut into the valves mean that the edges are normally thinner.

Milling is fun. Increases compression by decreasing the size of the combustion chamber or moving your head closer to the piston top. Either way it ups your comp, but too much of it will retard your camtiming negating the milling process and possibly making your car run like ass.
