How can I get it to start smoother?
I have a 96 accord i4 .. WHen I turn the key, its not like it takes a lot, but there is a tiny delay before the engine turns over..like 1/2 a second..
I've done spark plugs, wires, rotor and cap .. what else can I do?
It needed those things anyways, but i figured it may get that engine crankin a little smoother.

I replaced the alternator during the summer. The power seems to be fine and with a digital multimeter it puts out enough power, and the battery seems coo with it too..
Its not much of a delay but maybe a little..i'm thinking maybe the rotor isn't exactly on sync with the first spark plug .. that may be it but i'm not really sure..when it stops raining i may give that a try

one thing you can do to shorten start time is to clean the fuel injectors and injector seats. It only takes 30 minutes or so. CAREFULLY take the fuel rail off (so you don't rip the upper injector seals) and pull each injector out of the manifold. Chances are there's a substantial amount of carbon build-up around the injector seats. Clean that out using Q-tips and motor oil. I did that for my CRX, and it's started better ever since.
