Default d16y8 head - mini me swap..

Hey... Im going to buy a 16y8 head/ intake manifold(sohc vtec 96-00) this week and put it on my dx hatch. I was wondering what the best way to wire for vtec would be? witha a msd switch or? getting the ex ecu and wiring accordingly? Has anyone done or know anything about this ? links?

If you just use an RPM switch, you'll have VTEC, but you won't have a fuel curve that corresponds to it. The proper way to do it would be to run an EX ECM.

you could even run the P28 ecu for the d16z6. That way you're getting the correct fuel. You just wouldn't need to hook up the 2nd O2 sensor. The other option is to run a 2nd gen teg ecu so you're running rich all the time until you hit vtec, where you'd run almost perfectly.
